So
you want to be a Rep?
It’s easy to become a rep; your course leaders will organise a course meeting by week 3 and you can put yourself forward then. You will be asked to fill in a reps' registration form, which will ensure that we can pass on your contact details to your fellow students.
Remember you are a representative for your course for all aspects of your university experience. This includes academic issues (through Course Boards) and non-academic (through the SSLC) mechanism. We will provide support all through the way and provide you with the necessary resources.
We are always interested in cases of best practice as well faults and issues, which we can help sort.
Being a rep will help you in the short term and long term, it’ll earn you respect from your lecturers and fellow students. You’ll also find that it may come up in job interviews and you may be looked on favourably should you decide to go on and do Post Graduate study.
