Want to be an ‘Employable Gloucestershire Graduate'?

If so, you need to be seeking out experiences and developing the skills which employers value both within your degree programme and outside it – through such things as volunteering, membership of SU clubs and societies, acting as a course rep or student ambassador, entering the BUG enterprise competition, or working part-time for the University alongside your studies. What’s more, it’s important to reflect on the skills and attributes you are developing from all the different things you are doing, so that you are able to present a rich and rounded picture of what you have to offer in your CV and on application forms when you start applying for graduate jobs. So, to encourage you to take advantage of all the opportunities university life offers to develop your employability, the University has developed the new
Employable Gloucestershire Graduate Scheme (EGGS)

EGGS will enable you to receive formal recognition for your co-curricular achievements by the University. Completing a straightforward Personal Statement of Achievement about an activity you have engaged in will give you the chance to claim an EGG certificate, which will verify your particular achievements and skills development. If all this sounds like something you could sign up to, go to http://resources.glos.ac.uk/tli/eggs/index.cfm to find out more about EGGS and how it can help you to demonstrate that you are an Employable Gloucestershire Graduate…

To register, please e-mail us at eggs@glos.ac.uk and say that you found out through volunteering.
