Drugs come in many forms, and not all of them are illegal. Drugs such as cannibis, cocaine, ecstasy and LSD are amoung the list of many illegal drugs.
Substances like alcohol, cigarettes, pain killers and glue are legal but can become dangerous if they are taken in large amounts and the user can become addicted.
Most drugs have side effects. These can be dangerous, even fatal, especially if you mix drugs or take them regularly. If you are worried about a drug or solvent problem then talking to someone could help. Whether it be from a drug agency, doctor, counsellor, friends or family.
Sometimes that can be easier said than done. The National Drugs Helpline is a 24-hour free and confidential Service which gives advice and information to callers with concerns or just questions about drugs. As well as information there is a wide range of printed literature which is available free of charge. The helpline also provides confidential counselling to callers with drug related problems.
